Problem :

The goal of this project was to explore the possibilities of ArUco markers within my area of interest. I investigated how these markers can be used to create more intuitive and interactive lighting control.

CONTRIBUTION :

This individual project involved coding the system’s backbone using Arduino IDE, Processing, and Python, building upon an existing machine learning visual model. I 3D printed the lamps, integrating electronics with an ESP32 and LED strips.

SOLUTION :

This ArUco-based model enables users to control the intensity and color of light through simple hand-held markers. Light intensity is adjusted by opening and closing the thumb and index finger, while color changes are controlled by tilting the hand. Depending on how many markers are detected, users can operate one or multiple lights at the same time, creating an intuitive and flexible lighting interaction.
